I recently gave a presentation about Java on the Desktop in Paris, at Sun. The presentation is available online in English. It was a 3 hours talk so there are about 160 slides. If you speak french, take a look at Alexis' blog (you'll find links to many of the demos, which you can also find in the Best Of this website). Also, developpez.com, a french network for programers will publish a video recording of this presentation very shortly.
This presentation is very similar to the one Richard Bair (SwingLabs leader) and I gave at JavaPolis University in Antwerp. If you have any question, feel free to ask us (Richard is the one you need if you have questions regarding SwingLabs or Databinding).
