You have a slight American accent.
You mention 3D applets. Here’s is my favourite 3D applet. It’s the best on the web:

You mean I might be losing my French accent someday? Damn, it was so useful with girls :)
Hi, nice interview.
However, I have to disagree regarding the applets topic. Apart of the vast amount of applets that are around there and that our friends the Javaposse guys use to higlight, the fact is there are some markets that have being traditionally a very good niche for applets. An example would be the financial market in which you need real time applications with a high complexity that make them unsuitable for the ajax world.
I have to say that when I arrived to my company I almost thought that applets were dead. Then suddenly I discovered a brand new world of companies moving and paying millioins of dollars for applet-based deployments.
So, yes, I would agree that the applets haven“t reach the end-user (like swing), but not to say that applets are dead.
Cheers!
