What caused the interesting green and purple coloring on the lens? Was it due to some kind of coating (perhaps an antiglare coating)? Was it a reflection of something in the environment?
It’s the IR filter attached to the lens. The Leica M8 “requires” the usage of infra-red filters on the lenses to compensate for the lack of such a filter on the sensor itself.
